When calling nurses heroes we are asking them to set themselves apart, to suffer in silence and not ask for what they need because superheroes are self-sufficient.

Getting to the root cause is the key to help our patients and us realize we are not the ones to receive the anger.

This year I am skipping scarcity and embracing abundance by acknowledging and accepting all the ways I am enough in my perfectly imperfect humanity.

Together, as we navigate the unknown continuation of Covid, grief, burnout, and fatigue, I urge everyone to put their ears to their hearts to listen to their own pulse, their own beat.
